Choosing a Custom Suit

Choose a custom suit in this order: purpose, budget, cloth, silhouette and details. Enzo Custom drafts an individual pattern from your measurements, posture and proportions, then refines the jacket and trousers through fittings. Custom suits start at $595.

Decide what the suit must do

The first question is where you will wear it. A suit for regular office use needs a different balance of cloth and practicality from a wedding suit. Share how often you expect to wear it, the setting and any concerns with your existing suits.

A quiet navy or charcoal may offer considerable range, but color alone does not make a suit versatile. Texture, sheen, pattern scale and construction influence where it belongs. Compare cloth in person before deciding from a photograph. Explore our suit collection for direction, then adapt the garment to your own requirements.

Set jacket and trouser proportions together

Jacket length, button stance and trouser rise should be discussed together. Lowering one element or shortening another changes the relationship between torso and legs. The correct result is the proportion you and your clothier agree, with room for normal movement.

Our assessment includes over 30 measurements alongside posture, shoulder slope, arm position and natural asymmetry. The trousers receive their own attention to the waist, seat, thigh and balance. How a suit should fit explains what to look for when trying it on.

Compare canvas and construction

Full canvas is the standard for our structured jackets, with half canvas available where appropriate or requested. We do not use fused jacket-front construction. An unconstructed jacket follows a different approach to internal support. Your clothier selects the internal support to suit the cloth and silhouette.

Set the budget and fitting schedule

Custom suits start at $595. Set your budget before reviewing cloth; the final price for your selected fabric and design is confirmed before production. Custom suit pricing explains the factors behind the quote.

Standard garments typically take three to four weeks, with two to three fittings. Imported cloth, availability and fitting requirements can extend timing, so share your event date before ordering. The resulting pattern and fitting record support later additions to your wardrobe.

If you are weighing the investment itself, is a custom suit worth it? relates the choice to fit, budget and likely use. For the appointment itself, your first custom suit explains what to prepare, bring and discuss.

To settle the visible details, use the suit style guide. The dedicated guides to double-breasted suits and three-piece suits explain the extra fitting relationships those designs introduce.

Questions and answers

What makes an Enzo suit custom?

We develop an individual pattern from your measurements, posture, proportions and asymmetry rather than modifying a standard-size stock block.

What is the starting price?

Custom suits start at $595. The price of your selected cloth and design is confirmed before production.

Can I choose a relaxed fit?

Yes. We establish your preferred ease and silhouette, then assess the suit in a natural stance and normal movement.

Do I have to choose every detail alone?

No. Your clothier narrows the choices and explains how the cloth, construction and proportions work together.
