When to Order Your Wedding Suit
Start your wedding suit plan as soon as the date and dress code are set. Enzo Custom garments typically take three to four weeks, with two to three fittings. Allow time for cloth availability, corrections and travel; work backward from when the complete outfit must be ready.
Set your pickup deadline before departure
For a destination wedding, the useful deadline is usually departure rather than the ceremony. Even at home, you may want the finished outfit before the final days fill with rehearsals, family arrivals and other commitments. Establish that garment-readiness date at the beginning.
Start with a 60-minute Weddings & Events appointment, whether you are new to Enzo or have visited before. Then work backward with your clothier. The plan should include selecting cloth, taking measurements, the expected garment timing and the appointments needed to assess and finish the fit. Our wedding guide connects that schedule to the broader celebration.
Standard and rush timing
Standard garments typically take three to four weeks. Rush is approximately two and a half weeks, subject to confirmation. Your clothier will assess the order against your event and departure dates.
Imported or unavailable cloth can extend timing. The fitting process normally involves two to three fittings, and the schedule needs room for the work identified at those appointments. Agree the fitting dates and readiness deadline with your clothier before production. Each Garment Fitting appointment is 30 minutes; allow separately for any work identified during that visit before the next fitting or pickup.
The wedding suit planning checklist
| Milestone | What should be resolved | What can delay the next step |
|---|---|---|
| Initial planning | Event, departure, dress code and budget | An undecided outfit or changing event plans |
| Cloth and design approval | Available fabric and complete selected specification | Imported cloth, substitutions or late changes |
| In-person assessment | Measurements, posture and individual pattern requirements | Participants who cannot attend promptly |
| Fitting stage | Balance, comfort, length and needed corrections | Appointment availability or a change in body measurements |
| Final outfit review | Garments with the actual shirt, shoes and accessories | Missing pieces or an incomplete hem assessment |
| Pickup and travel preparation | Complete outfit, care instructions and packing plan | Last-minute travel changes |
Schedule pickup after the full outfit has been fitted and reviewed, with time left to prepare for travel.
Schedule the wedding party together
A group adds calendars as well as garments. Agree on a common styling brief and identify where each person will be measured. Ask everyone to provide travel dates and periods when they cannot attend fittings. The person with the least flexible schedule should be visible early.
The wedding-party guide explains what should match and what should remain individual. Keep any requested changes connected to the coordinating clothier so that one adjustment does not quietly alter the group’s appearance or fabric needs.
Bring the shirt, shoes and accessories to fittings
Shoes should be available when trouser length is assessed. The intended shirt matters for collar and sleeve relationships, and formal accessories need to fit their fastenings. Waiting until after pickup to assemble the outfit can reveal a preventable mismatch.
For destination weddings, confirm whether you will need pressing at the destination and how you will transport the garments. Do not assume the venue can arrange a specialist service immediately on arrival.
Ordering close to the wedding date
Contact our concierge team through your chosen showroom with the actual event and departure dates, the garment required and whether you are a new or returning client. The showroom will check cloth, design and fitting availability before confirming whether rush can meet the plan.
Explore suits or tuxedos to narrow the brief, but prioritize a workable plan. A clear schedule protects the time needed to make the garment feel right on the person wearing it.
Questions and answers
Is three to four weeks enough before my wedding?
Three to four weeks is typical garment timing. Start earlier where possible so the plan also allows for cloth availability, fittings, corrections and travel. Confirm your readiness deadline with the showroom.
What date should I give if I am traveling?
Give both the event date and the date you need the finished outfit before departure. Include any earlier events that require the same garments.
Can rush guarantee the garment for my date?
No. Rush is approximately two and a half weeks and must be confirmed for the specific order. Availability and fitting requirements can affect what is possible.
When do I need my wedding shoes?
Have them available when trouser length is assessed. Different shoe shapes can change the way the hem sits.
What if my measurements change before the wedding?
Tell your clothier as soon as you know. The fitting plan and any required corrections need to be reassessed against the remaining time.
