An appointment with Melody can begin with a single suit, an upcoming wedding or a jacket you expect to wear often. Bring photographs, a garment whose fit you like, and any dates that matter. These give the conversation a useful starting point without prescribing a finished design.

If you wear a suit only for selected meetings or events, explain those settings first. A navy or charcoal suit may cover several needs; the exact shade, texture and styling determine how formal it feels. Compare custom suits with separate jackets before deciding. A suit creates one continuous line, while a jacket can work with trousers and shirts already in your wardrobe.

For a less formal jacket, discuss the shoulder, pockets and surface of the cloth together. A textured weave offers a different effect from a smooth business worsted. Your garment does not need to reproduce a standard showroom look: length, button stance, lapel proportion and ease are developed around you.

New clients are measured in the showroom. We take more than 30 measurements and assess posture, shoulder slope, left-to-right asymmetry and arm pitch—the angle at which your arms naturally hang. These observations inform an individual pattern drafted from scratch for you and the garment category.

The fitting also needs to account for sitting, reaching and the way you prefer to wear your clothes. Jacket balance, trouser rise and room through the seat matter as much as a neat outline in the mirror. We fit the constructed garment and refine it, usually through two to three fittings, recording confirmed changes for later orders. Our process explains each stage.

Full floating canvas is the standard for our structured jackets. This internal layer supports the chest and lapels and helps establish the jacket’s shape without bonding the entire front to the outer cloth. We do not use fused jacket-front construction.

Half canvas is available where appropriate or requested, and unconstructed jackets provide a softer alternative. A jacket’s lining is a separate choice: an unlined jacket is not necessarily unconstructed. Melody can explain how these decisions change the feel of your selected garment. Enzo’s collections span 10,000 fabrics, with sources including Loro Piana, Zegna, Dormeuil, Vitale Barberis Canonico and Enzo Sartori. Your appointment narrows that range to cloth suited to the garment and its use; individual selections and availability are confirmed before ordering.

For frequent travel, compare weight, weave, drape and crease recovery together. A high-twist wool may be worth examining, but no cloth eliminates the need to unpack and care for a suit. Tell Melody whether you run warm, spend long periods seated or layer knitwear. A very light cloth is not automatically the right answer for every itinerary. Bring the invitation or dress-code wording when choosing formalwear. A tuxedo needs its own decisions: black or midnight blue cloth, peak or shawl lapels, the shirt front, trouser rise and accessories. The tuxedo guide helps establish a coherent outfit rather than a collection of isolated details.

For weddings, share the ceremony and reception settings, party members’ locations and any departure date. Melody can help establish a common direction while each person receives an individual pattern and fit. A separate jacket becomes more useful when its accompanying garments are chosen at the same time. Custom shirts allow the collar, cuff and sleeve proportions to work with the jacket; mother-of-pearl buttons are standard. Trousers can be shaped for your preferred rise, leg line and break, with a hand-set curtain waistband and V-split detail.

If you need an overcoat for travel or cooler conditions, bring the layers you intend to wear beneath it. The shoulders, chest and sleeves must accommodate them without relying on an oversized silhouette. The same practical approach connects a single new garment to the rest of your wardrobe.

These are starting prices. Your selected cloth, garment design and final price are confirmed before production.

Standard timing is three to four calendar weeks from a confirmed, paid order until ready for pickup or shipment. Imported or special cloth may take longer. Share travel and event dates before ordering so garment fittings and any refinements can be planned around them. The production estimate is not a promise that every fitting will be complete within that interval.
