Bring a favorite garment, the shoes you expect to wear and any invitation that sets a dress code. Each gives Dante a useful reference for the conversation without determining the finished design.

A working suit needs to look settled when you stand and feel comfortable when you sit. Start with the hours you spend in offices, cars and outdoor settings, and whether you usually wear a tie. A navy or charcoal worsted may make a useful foundation; a textured weave or different weight can give the next suit a distinct role.

Compare the suit collection for a starting direction, then adjust the jacket length, button stance, lapels and trousers together. If you often remove your jacket, give the shirt and trouser proportions equal attention. Check the waistband while seated and the sleeve when reaching. A close outline should still leave room to move.

New clients are measured in the showroom. Dante takes over 30 measurements and assesses posture, shoulder slope, asymmetry and arm pitch, along with your preferred ease. Two men with the same chest measurement can need different front and back balance; these observations belong in the pattern from the outset.

An individual pattern is drafted from scratch for you and the garment category. The constructed garment is then assessed and refined, usually through two to three fittings. Your records are retained for future orders and checked when your body or preferences change. Our process explains how measurement, pattern and fitting work together.

Full floating canvas is the standard for Enzo’s structured jackets. This internal foundation supports the chest and lapels while allowing the outer cloth to drape naturally. We do not use fused jacket-front construction. Dante can explain how the selected build works with your shoulder line and the shape you want through the body.

Half canvas is available where appropriate or requested, and an unconstructed jacket offers a softer alternative. Lining is a separate choice: a partly lined or unlined jacket is not necessarily unconstructed. Compare these decisions together rather than treating less lining as the whole answer to warm-weather dressing. A Milanese lapel buttonhole is available on request. Enzo offers 10,000 fabrics across its collections, with sources including Loro Piana, Zegna, Dormeuil, Scabal, Holland & Sherry and Vitale Barberis Canonico. The appointment narrows the choice by use, texture, weight and color; it is not necessary to start with a mill name or Super number.

For frequent wear, compare the cloth’s drape and recovery after handling. For a warmer setting, look at the openness of the weave alongside weight and lining. A very fine cloth can feel different without being the right choice for every schedule. Our cloth guide gives these choices context.

For black tie, assess the tuxedo as a whole. Black and midnight blue should be compared with the lapel facing, formal shirt and accessories. For a wedding, share the ceremony and reception settings, the dress code and the departure date if travel is involved. Dante can help distinguish the groom while coordinating the party through cloth or details. Agree who needs measurements and where each person can attend fittings before individual bookings begin. A separate dinner jacket can be planned around formal trousers and shoes you already own.

A separate jacket should complement your trousers through deliberate differences in color or texture. Bring the pieces you intend to wear together, then compare texture, contrast and shoulder shape. For shirts, choose the collar around your neck, jacket and use of a tie; mother-of-pearl buttons are standard, and a split yoke can be specified.

Custom trousers let you address rise, seat, leg line and hem together, with a hand-set curtain waistband and V-split detail. Bring your boots if you wear them: the opening and break should be checked over the actual footwear. An overcoat needs its own pattern and sufficient room over the layers beneath it, especially if you are ordering for travel.

We stand behind every garment we make. If something isn’t right, your clothier will work with you to refine it through alterations. In the rare case that alterations aren’t enough, we’ll remake the garment. If you’re still not satisfied after we’ve worked to resolve your concerns, we’ll refund the affected garment.
