Bring the pieces you intend to wear with the new garment. A shirt, shoes or a favorite pair of trousers can make the discussion more precise than a photograph alone. If the order is for an event, share both the event date and any earlier travel date.

A suit worn regularly to work asks different things of its cloth from one reserved for a wedding. Brad will discuss how often you expect to wear it, the settings it needs to suit and your preference for a softer or more defined shape. That conversation guides the weight, weave, shoulder and trouser proportions.

Navy and charcoal can provide a useful foundation; the distinction comes from the surface of the cloth and the line of the garment. If you already own a reliable business suit, a second order might fill a different need: a lighter cloth, a three-piece design or a more relaxed silhouette. A separate jacket should have a purpose of its own. Compare a textured navy cloth with the trousers you plan to wear, or set a small check against a plain shirt. Contrast helps the pieces read as an outfit without needing to match. Pocket shape, shoulder softness and jacket length should support that combination.

Custom jackets and sport coats can be developed alongside trousers with the rise, seat and leg shape you prefer. Trouser details include a hand-set curtain waistband and V-split at the back. Shirts allow the collar, cuff and sleeve to be resolved together; mother-of-pearl buttons are standard, with split-yoke construction available. For cooler-weather use, an overcoat should be fitted around the layers it will cover.

Bring the invitation and describe the setting before choosing between a suit and a tuxedo. A daytime ceremony, an outdoor reception and a black-tie evening create different requirements. Discuss the full outfit, from the jacket and trousers to the shirt, shoes and accessories, so its level of formality is consistent.

For a wedding party, establish a shared cloth, color and dress code before individual appointments. The groom can have a distinct design while each person receives an individual pattern and fitting. New clients are measured in the showroom. We record more than 30 measurements, together with shoulder slope and position, asymmetry, arm pitch and the balance of the body. Your individual pattern is drafted from scratch for the client and garment category. A jacket and an overcoat are developed for their different purposes.

The fitting then checks the constructed garment in movement as well as at rest. Sit, walk and tell Brad where you feel restriction or excess room. Collar contact, sleeve angle, button stance and trouser balance all affect the result. Usually two to three fittings are involved; our process explains how the observations inform each refinement.

Full floating canvas is the standard for Enzo’s structured jackets. It forms an internal foundation through the jacket front, supporting the chest and lapels while allowing the outer cloth to drape. We do not use fused jacket-front construction. Half canvas is available where appropriate or requested, and an unconstructed jacket offers a softer alternative.

Lining is a separate choice: full, partial or no lining changes the interior without defining the canvas construction.
