Custom Suits & Tuxedos Chicago

The Showroom

A working tailoring house in Chicago's Gold Coast. The world's finest cloth selected, cut, and fitted in a controlled environment — without crowds, without rush, without a sales floor.

Our Chicago showroom serves the Loop's law firms, the consulting principals, the private equity and family-office finance that anchors the Midwest. Industrial ownership and the third-generation businesses that built the city. Wardrobes structured for the boardroom, weighted for the winter, and cut for the kind of executive presence the Midwest still rewards. Every commission begins with one conversation, one set of measurements, and one pattern drafted to the man — not adjusted from a stock block.

Custom Suits in Chicago

For more than a decade, Enzo Custom has dressed the men who run the Midwest's most demanding firms. Our Chicago clients arrive between Loop meetings, Aspen weekends, and the kind of winters that test every garment they own. Each custom suit is drafted from the individual, fitted under controlled conditions, and delivered with our Perfect Fit Assurance.

The result is wardrobe architecture, not a wardrobe transaction: business suiting for the boardroom, overcoats for Chicago winters, and lifetime alterations on every garment we make. To see how this differs from made-to-measure, read Custom vs. Made-to-Measure.

Structured Tailoring for Chicago Winters

The Chicago winter does to clothing what nothing else in the country does. Six months of cold, three of which are genuinely brutal, with a wind off the lake that finds the seams of every garment that wasn't made correctly. A custom suit is built for this — heavy enough in the cloth to hold its line under an overcoat, structured enough in the canvas to keep its shoulder through wear, and finished with the construction that lets a wardrobe compound rather than depreciate. Our Chicago commissions are heavier than nearly any other city in the network. 12oz to 14oz worsted for daily wear. Flannel in deep charcoal and navy for the colder months. Cashmere and cashmere-blends for the men whose travel takes them between Chicago, London, and Zurich. The overcoat is its own conversation — a heavy double-breasted polo coat in camel hair, a navy covert coat for the office, a herringbone topcoat for the longer days. Each is drafted, cut, and finished to outlast a Chicago decade.

A Chicago winter is the most honest test a suit will ever take.

What to Expect

The Appointment

Private. One client at a time. Ninety minutes for the first meeting, fewer for returns. No appointment is double-booked.

The Pattern

An individual pattern, drafted from your measurements alone and archived for life. Every garment we make for you is cut from this pattern — never altered from a stock block.

The Cloth

Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, Scabal, and Enzo Sartori. Flannel, cashmere, heavyweight worsted, and overcoat cloth — covert, polo, and cashmere-blend for the months that demand them.

The Commission

Three controlled fittings. Lifetime support available on every garment (alterations and repairs after 30 days from pickup are additional charges). Perfect Fit Assurance on every garment. The relationship continues for the life of the cloth. Each commission is conducted by a senior clothier of the house.

Frequently Asked

What is the price range for a custom suit?

Pricing begins at $545 for a custom suit and rises with fabric selection. Tuxedos start at $595, and custom shirts start at $125. Every garment includes a fully custom pattern, canvas construction, and fittings and adjustments. Specific pricing is discussed in showroom.

How long does a first suit take?

Typically four to five weeks from initial appointment to final fitting. Rush options are available in approximately three weeks for urgent needs.

What is Perfect Fit Assurance?

Every garment we make is guaranteed to fit. If anything is off, we recut it. The pattern is yours for life, and we adjust as you do.

Do you make tuxedos and overcoats as well as suits?

Yes. The same pattern, the same canvas, the same cloth houses. Tuxedos for the calendar's most formal evenings; overcoats for the city's winters.

Can I order remotely?

All fittings and measurements must be conducted in person at our showroom. We do not accept measurements taken remotely. Once your initial appointment is complete, we keep your pattern and measurements on file for future orders.

Do you commission overcoats and topcoats?

Yes. Chicago commissions overcoats more than any other city in the network. Polo coats in camel hair, navy covert coats, herringbone topcoats, and double-breasted heavy wool — drafted from the same pattern as your suits and built to last decades.
